Cookie Policy
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, keep track of sessions and collect usage data. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting (first-party) or by third-party services that run content on the page.
How We Use Cookies
TrailGear Bike uses cookies for three purposes: running the site, understanding traffic patterns, and showing relevant ads on other platforms. You can control which optional cookies are active through the cookie banner that appears when you first visit, or by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the site footer at any time.
Required Cookies
These are needed for the site to work properly. They handle things like keeping your shopping cart active while you browse, remembering your cookie preferences, and protecting forms against spam. Required cookies do not collect personal data for marketing and cannot be turned off. They are set by TrailGear Bike directly and expire when you close your browser or after a short period.
Specific cookies in this category: ck_consent (stores your cookie choice, 1 year), cart session data (browser session only).
Analytics Cookies
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how visitors use the site. This includes pages visited, time on site, referral source and general geographic region. No names, email addresses or other personally identifying data is collected through analytics. The data helps us understand which products people look at, where visitors drop off, and whether site changes are working.
Specific cookies: _ga (distinguishes users, 2 years), _ga_* (maintains session state, 2 years). Set by Google. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Marketing Cookies
If you accept marketing cookies, we may use them to show you TrailGear Bike ads on other websites and social media platforms. These cookies track whether you visited our site and what products you viewed, so that ads shown to you elsewhere are more relevant. We do not currently run remarketing campaigns, but this category is included for future use. If we enable marketing cookies, this policy will be updated to list the specific providers.
Managing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time. On your first visit, the cookie banner at the bottom of the page lets you accept all cookies, reject optional ones, or open settings to choose individually. After that, you can revisit your choices through the cookie settings link. Your choice is stored in the ck_consent cookie for one year.
You can also control cookies through your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Keep in mind that blocking required cookies may prevent the shopping cart and order form from working.
Third-Party Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies on our behalf. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected through those cookies. We do not allow any other third party to set cookies through this site. Font files loaded from Google Fonts and icon files from Cloudflare CDN do not set cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy when we add or remove cookie categories. The current version is always available on this page.
