Your Ride Deserves
Helmets, lights, locks, and everything you need for the trail.
Shop accessories online or test-ride bikes at our Mission, BC store.
Gear That Actually Holds Up
We opened TrailGear Bike because we were tired of buying accessories that fell apart after a few rides. Every product in our shop gets tested on local Fraser Valley trails before we put it on the shelf. If it doesn't survive the Vedder Mountain climb, it doesn't make the cut.
Bicycles are available in-store only. We want you to sit on it, feel the frame, and test the brakes before you hand over your money. Accessories ship anywhere in BC and across Canada.
Riders Pick These First
Our top-selling accessories. Order online, pick up in-store or get it shipped.
Why Accessories Aren't Optional
A good bike means nothing if you can't see the road, protect your head, or keep your ride locked up.
Safety First, Always
Head injuries account for 60% of cycling fatalities. A properly fitted helmet and reflective gear reduce that risk by a large margin. We carry helmets tested to CPSC and EN 1078 standards.
See and Be Seen
Most car-bicycle collisions happen because the driver didn't see the rider. Front lights, rear blinkers, and spoke reflectors make you visible from every angle, especially on those short BC winter days.
Keep What's Yours
Bike theft in the Fraser Valley has gone up year after year. A quality U-lock and cable combo takes ten seconds to use and is the difference between having a bike tomorrow and filing a police report.
What Makes TrailGear Different
We Ride What We Sell
Every product on our shelves has been used by someone on staff. Corvin, our head mechanic, puts 200km a week on local trails. If he says a light is rubbish, it goes back to the distributor.
Local Shop, Real People
No call centres. No chatbots. You call the store and someone who can actually fix a derailleur answers the phone. We've been on Logan Avenue since 2024 and we know most of our regulars by name.
Free Fitting on Every Helmet
Buy a helmet in-store and we adjust it on the spot, no charge. A helmet that sits wrong is barely better than no helmet. Online orders include a printed fit guide with measurement instructions.
30-Day No-Hassle Returns
Changed your mind? Bring it back within 30 days, in the original packaging, and we'll refund you or swap it out. We'd rather have a happy customer than a forced sale.
Brands We Actually Trust
We don't carry everything. We carry brands our mechanics have put through real riding conditions in the Fraser Valley. If a product can't handle rain, gravel, and the occasional drop off a truck bed, it doesn't get shelf space.
Kryptonite
Locks and security. Their New York series D-locks have been our go-to recommendation for three years running. The 16mm shackle on the Fahgettaboudit is practically angle-grinder proof. We stock the full range from mini to heavy-duty.
Knog
Australian-made lights with proper optics. The Blinder series puts out usable beam patterns instead of just a bright spot in the middle. USB rechargeable, weatherproof body. Corvin has run the same Blinder 900 for over 14 months on daily commutes.
Giro
Helmets that actually fit different head shapes. The MIPS-equipped models redistribute rotational impact energy, which matters more than most riders think. We carry road, MTB, and commuter lines. Sizes from XS through XL in stock.
Brooks England
Saddles, bar tape, and bags. Their Cambium rubber saddles skip the break-in period of leather models. The handlebar bags are overbuilt in the best way, riveted canvas that'll outlast the bike it's bolted to. Made in Birmingham since 1866.
We also carry select products from Continental, Schwalbe, Park Tool, Finish Line, Topeak, and Ortlieb. Not everything is online yet. Call us if you're looking for something specific.
What Riders Say About Us
Five Gear Mistakes That Cost You Money
We see these every week. Most of them are easy to avoid.
Buying the cheapest lock you can find
A $12 cable lock from a department store can be cut with wire cutters in under four seconds. We've timed it. A $55-$75 D-lock takes specialized tools and two to three minutes of loud grinding. Thieves avoid that.
Riding without rear lights during the day
Daytime running lights reduce car-collision risk by roughly 33%, based on a Danish Transport Research Institute study. A rear blinker costs $25-$40 and runs for weeks on a single charge.
Wearing a helmet that's too big
If you can fit two fingers between your eyebrow and the front edge, it's sitting too high or wrong size. A loose helmet protects maybe 40% as well as one that fits. We'll measure and adjust for free in store.
Skipping tire pressure checks
Tires lose about 1-2 PSI per day just sitting in your garage. Underinflated tires increase rolling resistance, wear sidewalls unevenly, and make pinch flats almost guaranteed. A floor pump with a gauge costs $35.
Never cleaning or lubricating the chain
A grimy chain wears out your cassette and chainring two to three times faster. A bottle of wet lube costs $8 and a chain cleaning tool is $15. Ten minutes every couple of weeks saves you $120-$200 in drivetrain replacement.
Questions We Hear a Lot
No. Bikes are in-store only. We think it matters to sit on a bike before you pay for one. You're welcome to call ahead and we'll have a few models ready when you arrive. Accessories, however, ship anywhere in Canada.
Within BC, typically 2-4 business days. Rest of Canada, 4-7 business days. We ship with Canada Post and Purolator depending on the size of the order. Tracking number goes out the same day we ship.
Yes. Flat fixes, brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, and full overhauls. Walk-ins are fine for small stuff. Bigger jobs should be booked ahead. Typical turnaround is same-day for minor work, 2-3 days for a full service.
30 days, original packaging, unused condition. We'll refund to your original payment method or exchange. Helmets that have been in a crash can't be returned for safety reasons, but we'll replace a defective one at no cost.
If you find the same product cheaper at another Canadian retailer with stock, show us the listing and we'll match it. We can't match US prices or marketplace sellers, but we try to stay competitive on everything we carry.
A Word from Callister
"I started this shop because I got tired of ordering bike parts online and getting junk. Fraser Valley has thousands of cyclists and not enough stores that actually know what they're selling. We test everything, we fix anything, and if something isn't right, we make it right. That's about as complicated as our business model gets."
